FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I commission a project?
Getting started is easy.
Fill out the commission request form.
Tell me about your project, including the models, desired paint style, and any deadlines.
I'll work with you on the details and when were happy we’ve got something great, I’ll provide a personalized quote and estimated turnaround time.
Once the quote is approved and the deposit is received, your place in the painting queue is reserved.
What can you paint?
I currently paint:
Warhammer 40,000
Warhammer Age of Sigmar
Kill Team
Necromunda
Dungeons & Dragons miniatures
Board game miniatures
Display models
Busts
3D printed miniatures
If it fits on the painting desk, there's a good chance I can paint it.
Do I need to provide the models?
You can ship your miniatures directly to the studio, or we can discuss sourcing kits on your behalf.
Can you assemble and base my miniatures?
Absolutely.
Assembly, mold line removal, gap filling, custom basing, and weathering are all part of my normal services. I don’t typically magnetize.
How much does a commission cost?
Every project is unique.
Pricing depends on:
Number of miniatures
Model size
Level of detail
Custom basing
Freehand work
Conversions
Assembly requirements
Every quote is customized to your project.
How long will my commission take?
Turnaround times vary depending on project size and the current commission queue.
You'll receive an estimated completion date before work begins, and I'll keep you updated throughout the process.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes.
A 50% deposit reserves your place in the commission queue and allows work to begin.
The remaining balance is due before your completed project ships.
Can I request a specific color scheme?
Absolutely.
Whether you have official artwork, reference photos, lore, or just an idea in your head, I'll work with you to bring it to life.
What if I don't know exactly what I want?
No problem.
Many of my favorite projects start with a conversation. I can help develop a scheme that fits your army, faction, character, or story.
Will I receive progress updates?
Yes.
I'll share progress photos during the project so you can follow your commission from bare plastic to finished centerpiece.
Can I request changes during the project?
Minor adjustments are always welcome, and this is why I like to keep open communication and progress throughout the process.
Large changes after significant work has been completed may require additional time and cost.
How are miniatures shipped?
Every commission is carefully packaged using protective materials designed for fragile models.
Tracking is provided whenever available.
Shipping insurance is recommended for valuable commissions.
What happens if my package is damaged?
While every effort is made to package models securely, shipping carriers occasionally mishandle packages.
If shipping insurance was purchased, I'll help provide any documentation needed for a claim.
Do you paint for competitions?
Yes.
Whether you're preparing for a local tournament, a display cabinet, or a painting competition, I'd be happy to discuss your goals as a painter.
Can you match an existing army?
Yes.
If you're expanding an army, I can closely match existing colors, basing, weathering, and overall style to keep everything looking cohesive.
Can I follow your work?
Absolutely.
You can follow Omens March on social media to see current projects, finished commissions, hobby tips, and behind-the-scenes updates.
