Omens March Studio – Commission Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Omens March Studio. By requesting a commission, purchasing services, or using this website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. About Omens March Studio

Omens March Studio provides professional miniature painting, hobby services, and related artwork. We are an independent studio and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Games Workshop or any other miniature manufacturer.

2. Commission Requests

Submitting a commission request does not guarantee acceptance.

Each project is reviewed individually based on:

• Schedule availability

• Project scope

• Model condition

• Requested deadline

• Customer expectations

A commission begins only after both parties agree on the project and any required deposit has been received.

3. Pricing

Prices are quoted before work begins.

Quotes may vary depending on:

• Number of models

• Scale

• Painting level

• Assembly requirements

• Basing

• Weathering

• Freehand work

• Conversions

• Deadlines

Quotes remain valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

4. Deposits

Unless otherwise agreed:

• A 50% deposit is required before work begins.

• Deposits reserve studio time.

• Deposits are generally non-refundable once work has started.

5. Payments

Final payment is due before completed work is shipped.

Failure to complete payment within 30 days after completion may result in storage fees or cancellation of the order.

6. Turnaround Times

Estimated completion dates are estimates only.

Painting is handcrafted, and timelines may change due to:

• Project complexity

• Illness

• Family emergencies

• Supply delays

• Unexpected workload

Customers will be notified if significant delays occur.

7. Customer-Supplied Models

Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate model kits unless otherwise agreed.

Omens March Studio is not responsible for:

• Missing parts

• Manufacturing defects

• Warped components

• Poor previous assembly

• Hidden damage before arrival

Additional work required to repair or prepare models may incur additional charges.

8. Assembly and Preparation

Painting quotes will normally include:

• Assembly

• Mold line removal

• Pinning

• Gap filling

• Conversion work

If a customer model is received that is poorly assembled, these services may be added upon request.

9. Creative Interpretation

Customers are encouraged to provide:

• Reference images

• Color schemes

• Artwork

• Inspiration

• Written direction

Where artistic discretion is requested, Omens March Studio will make creative decisions consistent with the agreed vision.

Minor artistic variation should be expected due to the handcrafted nature of miniature painting.

10. Progress Updates

Progress photos may be provided during the commission at the studio's discretion.

Reasonable feedback is welcome throughout the process.

Major changes requested after substantial work has been completed may require additional charges.

11. Cancellations

Before work begins:

• Orders may be canceled, and deposits may be refunded at the studio's discretion.

After work has begun:

• Deposits are generally non-refundable.

• Customers may be responsible for payment for work already completed.

12. Shipping

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.

Unless otherwise agreed:

• Shipping costs are paid by the customer.

• Tracking will be provided whenever available.

Risk of loss transfers to the shipping carrier once the package has been accepted.

Shipping insurance is strongly recommended.

13. Damage During Shipping

Miniatures are fragile.

Omens March Studio carefully packages every order but cannot guarantee carrier handling.

Claims involving shipping damage should be filed with the shipping carrier if insurance was purchased.

14. Portfolio & Photography

Unless requested otherwise in writing, Omens March Studio may photograph commissioned work for:

• Portfolio

• Website

• Social media

• Marketing

• Competition submissions (where permitted)

Ownership of the physical miniature remains with the customer after full payment.

Omens March Studio retains copyright to photographs taken of completed work.

15. Intellectual Property

Customers may not reproduce artwork, photographs, branding, logos, or written content from Omens March Studio without permission.

16. Website Use

Users agree not to:

• Attempt unauthorized access

• Interfere with website operation

• Copy website content for commercial purposes without permission

17. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Omens March Studio shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or website.

Liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific commission.

18. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States.
